Sarah de Veyra-Buyco is a Manila-based visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and art educator. She graduated cum laude in studio arts from the
University of the Philippines-Diliman College of Fine Arts in 2007, where she received the Outstanding Thesis Award.
Over the years, Sarah has dedicated herself to teaching and contributing as a senior artist at Meridian International Learning Experience from 2007 to 2021.
She completed Harvard's Teaching for Understanding program in 2015.
In 2018, she expanded her horizons by attending the College of Intensive Chinese Studies at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU).
She earned certificates from Reggio Emilia’s digital study groups in 2021 and 2022.
Sarah is married to digital animator Hamill Buyco and is the mother of Adriana Mira.
In Navitas, Sarah is our senior house artist and is also the program director for Auntie’s Artnest - this is the platform where she hopes every individual will discover the personal meaning that art gives to him or her. Her dream is for art to be more than just a subject, a summer workshop or one that is perceived as only for a few.
